Mrs. Adam's Infectious Disease Project

Purpose:
To inform others of an infectious disease by means of a medium of your choice after researching the characteristics of the medical condition.

Process:
Brochure: Most word processing programs have a template for a tri-fold brochure format. If your program does not, then create a landscape view page with three columns. The brochure should have all 6 panels (3 each on front and back) filled with information about the disorder.
The brochure should look professional when completed. All material must be typed or printed. It should contain at least 2 pictures that contribute to the understanding of the disease (clipart should be used sparingly).
The citation(s) should be listed on the back of the brochure in MLA format.

Photostory: You will need a minimum of 10 slides that relay the information about a genetic disorder. You should use minimal words on the frame to enhance your information rich voice over. The more visuals, the better to enhance your information. You may have background music if desired (remember copyright laws)
The citation(s) should be listed at the end of the video in MLA format.

Website: You will need to have a minimum of 5 total pages (including your intro page). Once again pictures are there to enhance your information. When putting info on a website, it is important to remember not to plagiarize. These websites will go live and anyone in the world will be able to view them. When researching, you must give your sources credit. When using pictures, make sure they are royalty free.
The citation(s) should be listed at the bottom of the main page in MLA format.

On-Line Poster: To create this, you will be using Glogster. You will need to have extensive information concerning your disease with pictures to enhance your words. You will be able to record yourself giving information, find videos online and use those in there as well. You will be able to link to outside sources if needed.
The citation(s) should be listed at the bottom of the poster in MLA format.
